AUTHOR GUIDELINES

1. GENERAL GUIDELINES

JUNITA welcomes scholarly articles presenting original research findings, conceptual studies, and applied studies relevant to the fields of Accounting, Management, Business, Tourism, Hospitality, MICE and Events, as well as related interdisciplinary fields.

Submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

• The manuscript must be an original scholarly work that has not been previously published or submitted for publication in another journal or scholarly publication.
• The manuscript must demonstrate a clear academic contribution and/or practical implications.
• The manuscript must use relevant and up-to-date references.
• The manuscript must follow the structure and formatting requirements established by JUNITA.
• The manuscript must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of academic or research misconduct.
• The manuscript must be written in clear and appropriate academic English or Indonesian.
• The submitted manuscript must have been approved by all authors listed in the article.
  
  2. ARTICLE STRUCTURE

In general, research articles submitted to JUNITA should follow the structure below:

• TITLE
  The title should clearly reflect the main focus or research problem of the study. It should be concise, informative, and specific, and should avoid uncommon abbreviations.
• AUTHOR INFORMATION
  The authors' full names should be provided without academic or professional titles, together with their institutional affiliations, institutional addresses, and the email address of the corresponding author.
• ABSTRACT
  The abstract should be concise and informative and should include: the research background or problem; the research objective; the research methodology; the main findings; and the main conclusion or implications.
  The abstract must be provided in both Indonesian and English, with each version consisting of approximately 150–250 words.
• KEYWORDS
  The article should include 3–5 keywords or key phrases that represent the main topics of the article. Keywords should be arranged alphabetically and provided in both Indonesian and English.
• INTRODUCTION
  The Introduction should explain the context and research problem underlying the study. Authors should present the relevant phenomenon or issue, discuss the development of previous research, and identify the research gap that provides the rationale for conducting the study. The Introduction should include, at minimum: the background of the research problem; the phenomenon or issue under investigation; the development of previous research; the research gap or unresolved problem; the novelty and/or contribution of the study; and the research objective.
  Authors are encouraged to use primary references and recent scholarly sources to support their arguments.
• LITERATURE REVIEW
  The Literature Review should present relevant theories, concepts, and findings from previous studies related to the research topic. The literature review should not merely provide a collection of definitions. Instead, it should demonstrate the relationships between relevant theories and the research problem. Authors should develop a coherent academic argument that provides the theoretical foundation for the study, including the development of propositions or hypotheses where applicable. For empirical studies, the literature should primarily be drawn from credible and relevant scholarly sources, with an adequate proportion of recent references.
• RESEARCH METHODS
  The Research Methods section should describe the research process transparently and in sufficient detail to enable readers to understand the study and, where applicable, allow the research to be replicated by other researchers. Depending on the nature of the study, the methodology may include: research approach and design; research location and period; population and sample/informants; data collection techniques; research instruments; research variables or areas of focus; data analysis techniques; and other relevant research procedures.
  Authors should describe the methodology according to the characteristics of the study, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, conceptual, or applied approaches.
• RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
  The Results section should present the research findings systematically and in accordance with the research objectives. Findings may be presented in the form of narrative text, tables, figures, graphs, or other forms of visualization that enhance readers' understanding. The Discussion should interpret the findings and relate them to: the theories or concepts employed; findings from previous studies; the conditions or phenomena under investigation; and the academic and practical implications of the findings.
  Research findings should not merely be presented as data. Authors should explain their meaning and contribution to the advancement of knowledge and/or professional practice.
• CONCLUSION
  The Conclusion should directly address the research objectives based on the main findings discussed in the article. The conclusion should be concise and should not merely repeat the Results and Discussion sections. Where relevant, authors may also present the implications and limitations of the study, as well as recommendations for future research or practice.
• REFERENCES
  References must be prepared in accordance with the APA Style, 7th Edition (APA 7th Edition). Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or equivalent applications.

   3.    MANUSCRIPT FORMATTING

Manuscripts submitted to JUNITA should comply with the following formatting requirements:

• Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
• The recommended manuscript length is approximately 3,500–6,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
• The paper size must be A4.
• The manuscript should use Times New Roman, 11 pt.
• Line spacing should be 1.15 or follow the JUNITA article template.
• The main body of the article should use a two-column format, except for the title, author information, and abstract.
• Page margins should follow the specifications provided in the JUNITA article template.
• Table titles should be placed above the tables.
• Figure titles or captions should be placed below the figures.
• All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
• Sources must be acknowledged when tables or figures are reproduced or adapted from other sources.
• Mathematical equations should be prepared using the Equation feature in Microsoft Word.
• Tables and figures must be of sufficient quality and clearly legible.
• Abbreviations must be defined when they are first introduced in the manuscript.

 4.  AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

Each author may provide a brief biography in paragraph form, including:

• full name;
• institutional affiliation;
• educational background;
• area of expertise or research interests; and
• other relevant academic or professional information.

The biography should not exceed 100–150 words per author.

5.     ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM

Submitted manuscripts must be the authors' original work and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in another journal.

JUNITA conducts similarity and plagiarism checks on submitted manuscripts. The Editor may request revisions or reject a manuscript if plagiarism or other violations of academic integrity are identified.

Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the content presented in their manuscripts.

6.   SUBMISSION AND EDITORIAL PROCESS

Manuscripts must be submitted through the JUNITA online submission system in accordance with the journal's submission procedures.

Each submitted manuscript will undergo an initial editorial screening to assess its compliance with:

• the journal's focus and scope;
• manuscript formatting requirements;
• manuscript completeness;
• academic standards; and
• publication integrity requirements.

Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements will proceed to the double-blind peer-review process.

The Editor reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal's requirements or fall outside the focus and scope of JUNITA.

7. COPYRIGHT AND AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, including the data, analysis, arguments, tables, figures, and references used.

Authors are also responsible for ensuring that all materials included in the manuscript do not infringe upon the copyrights or other rights of third parties.

The Editor reserves the right to make language and technical edits to manuscripts, provided that such changes do not alter the scientific substance or intended meaning of the article.
